Job Description The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for oversight of both corporate related accounting matters, including month end close, forecasting and budgeting for the functional corporate cost centers, as well as SEC reporting. The role reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and is responsible for critical financial analysis, process improvements, external reporting, internal corporate reporting including the month-end close and forecasting/budgeting process and serves as the finance partner for the functional corporate leaders. The role involves various ad-hoc financial projects based on current business needs and is expected to manage various and ever-changing priorities.

Key Accountabilities

Support the preparation of the annual strategic plan and budget process for corporate functions by consolidating, analyzing and communicating key drivers to Corporate leadership

Understand and analyze monthly/quarterly financial results of corporate departments and clearly articulate themes and performance drivers to management and corporate department leaders

Provide oversight of the month-end close and forecasting process for the Corporate functions including the preparation of monthly/quarterly variance analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations

Lead the process associated with Zurn Elkay’s quarterly and annual SEC filings and related supporting documentation

Partner with business unit finance leaders to ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate accounting policies and US GAAP

Participate in the due diligence and financial integration process for business acquisitions

Manage the planning, coordination and execution of internal and external audits

Support business units by executing various projects that differ based on current needs

Support other finance related functions (Tax, Treasury, FP&A)

Ad hoc analysis, projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

6+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or for a larger corporation; manufacturing experience preferred

CPA designation

Previous experience with SEC reporting and technical accounting matters

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and particularly strong Excel skills involving pivot tables and dynamic formulas

Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, OneStream, Workiva, Visual Lease and NetBenefits is preferred

Ability to work in a dynamic team environment

Strong ability to turn data into actionable insights

Excellent organizational, planning, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with team members, divisional finance groups and corporate functional leaders

Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner

Strong problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks

Highly motivated with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of processes to facilitate continuous improvement
