Senior Financial Analyst
position at
Amtec Staffing . Under the direction of the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst assists in the preparation of annual budgets, conducts monthly actual vs. budget flux analyses, develops and maintains a 5-year forecast, and assists in completion of quarterly reports and analysis of new businesses. This position requires a well-rounded background in accounting and finance and the ability to work with other areas of the company. The Senior Financial Analyst interfaces with various internal departments and must work well with employees at all levels. The incumbent should embrace and utilize available technology as communication and data gathering tools in performing routine and complex duties for the financial planning team. Accountability: The incumbent must work independently, exercise initiative and judgment in performing a broad range of administrative support responsibilities in an environment with sensitive and confidential issues. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required to interact with all levels of the company’s management, visitors and vendors.
Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Interfaces with various business owners to complete annual capital and operations budget Develops the company budget matrix Performs monthly actual vs. budget/prior year flux analyses Provides insightful analyses on trended Return on Equity and Rate of Return for actual and budgeted figures Assists in the preparation of quarterly board packages Supports Manager in analyzing acquisitions and new business opportunities Assists in updating and modifying the company’s financial forecast model and provides what-if scenarios Provides gap analysis between Street Analysts’ EPS expectations and the internal budget Calculates and tracks company and peer group stock performance Assists with data compilation for rate case filings and quarterly audit requests Assists operations and general office departments as needed Prepares and maintains internal controls policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting or related discipline Seven years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, budgeting/projection, and financial modeling Ability to read and analyze financial reports and present information Advanced Excel skills Ability to effectively communicate and establish working relationships with other departments and personnel
