Overview
Equity Derivatives Documentation Negotiator – ISDA & Prime Brokerage Agreements We are seeking an Equity Derivatives Documentation Negotiator to join our growing team and support client engagements focused on trading documentation for leading financial institutions, hedge funds, and asset managers. This role is ideal for an experienced negotiator (JD not required) with hands-on experience negotiating and advising on equity derivatives-related agreements. The successful candidate will contribute to high-volume negotiations in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and provide commercial and operational insight on risk, collateral, and documentation strategy. Preference will be given to candidates located in the New York City area to accommodate occasional on-site client needs. Responsibilities
Negotiate and advise on a wide range of trading agreements, including
ISDA Master Agreements and Credit Support Annexes (CSAs) ,
MSFTAs ,
MRAs
(for repo transactions), and
GMSLAs
(securities lending agreements). Manage documentation for
equity derivatives
and
prime brokerage relationships . Provide input on
collateral arrangements, netting provisions , and
regulatory compliance
considerations in connection with equity derivatives documentation. Support onboarding and documentation processes with counterparties, coordinating with legal, risk, and compliance functions. Maintain playbooks, templates, and documentation standards in line with market practices and regulatory requirements. Track negotiation status, manage workflows, and escalate complex issues as needed. Stay current on
regulatory developments
impacting equity derivatives documentation (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank, UMR). Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience negotiating
ISDA Master Agreements
and related trading documents. Knowledge of
collateral mechanics, netting provisions , and
margin requirements
in derivative contracts. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple counterparties and documents concurrently. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote setting. Preferred Skills
Experience with
equity derivatives ,
prime brokerage agreements ,
MRAs ,
GMSLAs , and
MSFTAs . Familiarity with
Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and UMR
regulatory frameworks. Background supporting
hedge funds, investment banks, or asset managers . Located in the
NYC area
or open to occasional on-site work as needed. Compensation, Benefits & Location
