Overview

Associate Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) at Ardelyx, Inc. Will lead the Finance team in guiding Ardelyx through its next phase of growth, acting as Finance business partner to Technical Operations (supply chain, manufacturing, and CMC) and collaborating with the broader Finance team to support other departments, corporate planning and process improvements. Based in the Ardelyx headquarters in Waltham, MA, with virtual collaboration across locations in the US. Reports to the Senior Vice President, FP&A. Responsibilities

Provide financial and strategic business partnership and decision support to the Technical Operations leadership and team Develop, analyze, interpret and present financial results, and communicate the story behind the numbers to audiences from Executive/Board level to line managers Develop near-term and long-term financial plans, scenarios and forecasts for COGS, operating expenses and inventory build Facilitate budget and forecast processes by gathering functional inputs and producing analysis and presentations using planning and reporting tools Partner with supply chain management and corporate development to administer FP&A for external CMOs and partners Lead the monthly review process for Technical Operations to manage and track spending and investments Coordinate with cost accounting on month-end and quarterly close tasks, procure-to-pay processes, quarterly schedules and support for external reporting and audit inquiries Administer and provide input into corporate financial processes and timelines, including analysis and reporting of corporate results and understanding of trends and variances Drive improvements to COGS and inventory planning models, finance processes, systems and data visualization to enhance FP&A initiatives Complete ad-hoc strategic initiatives as opportunities arise (e.g., expanding FP&A support for additional functions, portfolio prioritization, business development analyses, financing strategies) Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; MBA/CPA preferred, with 8-10 years of FP&A or equivalent experience Experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech company or consulting firm; emphasis on planning for pharmaceutical manufacturing Hands-on with ability to transition from strategic thinking to tactical execution and ad-hoc analysis; strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and prioritization Advanced MS Office skills; experience with ERP, Planning/Reporting and BI tools Experience leading finance process improvements, financial modeling, and applying AI tools a plus Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment Good understanding of accounting processes and their impact on financial results The anticipated annual base pay range is $164,000-$200,000. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications and internal equity; may include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
