Overview

The Pharmacy Services Department is seeking an experienced business professional to support the Pharmacy Department. This position reports to the Finance Manager of Pharmacy Administration. This position will be instrumental in developing processes, maintaining financial reporting, and creating controls around a growing field in Pharmacy and Finance. Responsibilities

Monthly variance analysis of budget to actual financial results Month-End Journal Entry responsibilities Update and create monthly financial reports, including graphs, charts, and other ad hoc reports Create annual budget for various areas in Pharmacy Monitor activity in various Pharmacy areas, develop and maintain reports as needed Communicate activity and financial status to appropriate areas throughout Michigan Medicine & Pharmacy Leadership Scheduled and ad hoc reports for drug level analysis of medication purchases Backup support for other Financial Analysts in departments that support various Pharmacy areas Reviews and provides metrics for internal control reporting for Pharmacy Services Interact with Segment Leadership, or designated department leads to develop processes and stay up to date on patient population and new drugs on the horizon Follow workflows tailored to each High-Cost drug and/or administrative area. These workflows will ensure appropriate controls to monitor financial activity and mitigate losses Lead the capital process for Pharmacy Department Other analysis and duties as assigned by the Finance Manager and/or the Financial Director for the Pharmacy Department Additional Skills & Abilities

Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written to internal and external constituents and apply a high degree of analytical, interpretive and evaluative skills dealing with complex concepts, projects, etc. Solid knowledge, understanding, and experience in business, finance or accounting Must be self-motivated with an ability to work well with teams Must have effective organizational skills and flexibility to meet deadlines Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Experience with analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions Strong presentation, analytical techniques, and computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Senior

Bachelor's degree in a related field 5-8 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit and/or compliance, preferably in a University or Health Care environment Experience with spreadsheet applications and analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions Intermediate

Bachelor's degree in a related field 2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit and/or compliance, preferably in a University or Health Care environment Experience with spreadsheet applications and analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions Business, Accounting or Finance degree is preferred Experience working within Pharmacy is desirable, but not required Experience with MPathways, Hyperion, FinanceBI, and BusinessObjects financial software systems Additional notes
