HME Specialist II

will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts and ensuring inventory integrity across various locations. You will perform daily, monthly, and quarterly cycle counts, monitor and control inventory accuracy, and research and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, you will ensure product identification and location accuracy within the warehouse and other inventory locations.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required. Further education or certification in inventory management or accounting/finance is a plus. Requirements & Skills:

1-2 years Hands-on experience in inventory control and management - preferably in healthcare, warehouse, or logistics. Knowledge of inventory software systems - e.g., Brightree, SAP, Oracle, EPIC, Pyxis, or other WMS. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of other Microsoft software products such as Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc. Cycle counting and reconciliation experience - ability to maintain accurate inventory levels Familiarity with barcoding/RFID solutions Experience with receiving, stocking, and distribution workflows Understanding of supply chain and procurement basics Occasionally need to travel (10-15%) within the DMV region to manage inventory Experience with warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers and forklifts is a plus (or willing to be trained) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Accuracy and Control

Perform regular

cycle counts , spot checks, and full inventory audits. Investigate and reconcile

inventory discrepancies

in a timely manner. Maintain

accurate stock levels

through daily physical counts and system updates. 2. Receiving and Stocking

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders. Accurately

label, tag, and store items

according to storage standards. Ensure

first-in, first-out (FIFO)

or appropriate rotation methods are followed. 3. Data Entry and Inventory Systems

Enter and update inventory transactions in the warehouse inventory management system. Maintain item master data (descriptions, locations, units of measure, serial numbers) with precision. Generate inventory reports and assist in KPI tracking. 4. Inventory Distribution and Replenishment

Prepare and stage items for internal distribution or delivery to end users. Monitor par levels and

reorder points

to ensure uninterrupted stock availability. Collaborate with buyers or procurement staff to prevent stockouts or overstocks. 5. Compliance and Safety

Follow all

regulatory, accreditation, and safety guidelines

related to inventory handling. Maintain clean, organized storage areas in line with infection control and environmental standards. Properly dispose of expired, damaged, or recalled items and document per established procedures. 6. Communication and Coordination

Work cross-functionally with clinical, procurement, and logistics teams. Escalate shortages, backorders, and critical issues to appropriate stakeholders. Support training of new staff or temporary personnel on inventory procedures. Address inventory problems in a timely manner Report discrepancies, such as over/under amounts and damaged products. Correct inventory issues using the Brightree system. Operate warehouse equipment, including cherry pickers and forklifts. 7 . Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: Minimum $18.03/hour - Maximum $29.72/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
