Asset Manager – responsible for the safe and reliable operations of the company\'s operating assets, with accountability for the performance, efficiency and profitability of solar assets. The Asset Manager oversees O&M service providers and other external parties, collaborating with finance, pre-construction, construction, engineering and legal to implement effective strategies for managing and optimizing solar assets. The role involves daily asset activities and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. The position requires limited travel up to 25%, and excellent communication, teamwork, report writing, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and schedules simultaneously while developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships. Responsibilities
Accountability for the safe operation of assigned assets, following corporate HSSE policies and procedures Develop and implement comprehensive management strategies for solar assets, including performance optimization, risk management, and financial planning Oversee performance management and optimization of O&M operators and contractors, ensuring all assigned assets meet or exceed performance targets Ensure all assigned assets comply with project agreements, regulatory and state requirements by carrying out and tracking owner/seller responsibilities in contracts such as PPA, land, interconnection, lender, permits, O&M, and warranty Maintain effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure assets are managed effectively and efficiently Work with safety and other teams to maintain safe project operations and improve safety measures Complete required safety reporting and compliance Conduct budget analyses, including reporting, forecasting, and budget variance activities Coordinate settlements and power marketing efforts with third parties and ensure regulatory and commercial compliance Lead reporting efforts, including internal and external reporting Track insurance requirements and coordinate claims process Maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, including offtake partners, RTOs, landowners, lenders, and service providers to ensure scope completion Assist origination of O&M services (RFP to Contracting) for projects to support project financing Coordinate with the project delivery team to develop and execute a project hand-off from construction to operation Travel to project sites to verify conditions, observe vendor safety and best practices Manage multiple solar generation assets Other responsibilities as assigned Location
Position is local to Houston with a hybrid office policy. Periodic travel for team meetings or events may be required. Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, Finance, or related engineering science At least 5 years of professional experience in solar asset management or a related field, with a track record of success in managing large-scale solar assets Strong knowledge of solar energy technology, finance, and operations Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities Self-motivated with leadership experience in challenging environments Strong technical, analytical, computer, and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced MS Excel Maintain a valid driver\'s license and safe driving record to support travel requirements Benefits
