Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant located in Hicksville, NY. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting operations, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Daily tasks will include tax planning, tax return preparation, and personal financial planning. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will consult with clients to provide tailored financial advice and strategies.

Qualifications

Experience in tax planning and tax return preparation with individual and corporate returns

Proficiency in accounting operations, preparing and reviewing financial statements

Skills in personal financial planning and client consultation

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a CPA firm

Experience with accounting software and financial analysis tools

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or MS/MBA in Accounting/Taxation. CPA certification preferred

5+ years experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online

3-5 years experience with Prosystem fx tax prep software

Able to work independently, prioritize, multi-task and follow up. Communicate with all staff levels

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
