About This Opportunity We’re looking for a Senior Estimator who brings precision, leadership, and a passion for excellence to large-scale projects. The right candidate will have extensive experience leading estimating teams on complex builds across sectors such as Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing, Higher Education, and Commercial projects over $75 million. Drive performance and accountability across the estimating team by setting measurable goals, conducting regular evaluations, and providing mentorship to elevate accuracy, efficiency, and consistency. Lead cross-functional estimating efforts on high-value projects by coordinating workload, guiding strategy development, and ensuring alignment with company standards, client expectations, and bid deadlines. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement through post-project reviews, training initiatives, and collaboration with preconstruction leadership to optimize cost forecasting and team effectiveness. Provide all estimating and pricing on assigned projects, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and bid estimates. Ensure estimates are completed on time for review and recommendations by other project team members. Research and use appropriate resources including subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and pricing. Submit requests to architects/owners for clarifications on plans, specifications, and other documentation when needed. Present estimates to the owner in a clear, organized format. Provide all estimate breakouts required by bid documents, the client, or Okland personnel. Include applicable items such as taxes, insurances, bonds, OCIP, special wage rates, productivity, and fees & permits. Use sound estimating judgment with reference to historical data and cost escalations as required. Provide estimates for project general conditions as requested. Set up the recap on the project as requested and maintain estimates by archiving unused ones. Maintain confidentiality of financial specifics of projects including estimates, bids, and related information. Review budgets and bid against project plans, assisting the project manager and job cost accountant with coding and reporting. Market the company to owners and architectural teams; collaborate with Business Development on future opportunities. Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required. Performs other duties as assigned. Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with bidder solicitation and plan distribution by developing bidder lists and prequalifying bidders. Support bids as bid captain, including pricing, analysis, and submission. Assist the project manager in subcontracting and project initiation. Attend and represent the company in estimation, project review, and pre-bid meetings as requested. You're Ready for This Role If You Have

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field) preferred 5+ years of scheduling and cost estimating experience, including reading blueprints, quantity take-offs, and estimating practices Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of construction and renovation terms, materials, techniques, procedures, and practices Knowledge of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Knowledge of construction cost estimating techniques, including material quantity take-offs, labor hours, labor rate analysis, and pricing Knowledge of value engineering and total life cycle costing Knowledge of construction cost estimating software Knowledge of PC-based project management software and common applications Ability to analyze bids, cost proposals, and cost estimates, including labor rates, overhead, and profit Proven ability to lead and mentor estimating teams with goal-setting and training Advanced proficiency with estimating software platforms (e.g., WinEst, Sage, Assemble, Bluebeam) and ability to synthesize data into bid packages and reports Excellent communication and negotiation skills to align stakeholders and represent the company’s values Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specs Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Ability to read and understand schedules Ability to coordinate actions to achieve objectives with flexibility Ability to meet deadlines and work with management, coworkers, utilities, contractors, vendors, and architects/engineers Physical Requirements
