The Comforted Canine is looking to contract immediately with a self-employed Dog Sitter in the San Diego County metro area. The position is very flexible: you set your own hours, service area, and when you want to work. Get paid to take care of adorable dogs—a dream for anyone who loves tails, barks, and paws! We’re excited to hear from you about joining our team. Responsibilities

Visit dogs in client homes for drop-in visits (30, 45, or 60 minutes, once or twice daily) or for 10-hour overnight stays, or provide dog walks (30, 60, or 90 minutes for private walks or 60 minutes for group walks). Meet clients and dogs in person for a meet-and-greet to learn routines and care plans. Follow client instructions for dog and home care; socialize with the dog; keep the home spotless; send daily visit updates through our app. Carry out walking, feeding, water refreshment, cleaning bowls, litter scooping, and administering medications if needed. Complete light housekeeping tasks and provide daily updates and photos to owners. Be available during peak times, especially holidays, and manage schedules in a reliable, organized manner. What We’re Looking For

At least 18 years old Experience caring for dogs (professional experience is a plus but not required) Ability to walk, run, bend, and reach for extended periods; capable of handling dogs of all sizes Smartphone with internet, texting, and camera capabilities Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide references Compassion, patience, reliability, and organizational skills Ability to manage client schedules and keys; handle emergencies Ability to perform physically and mentally demanding work; certification in pet first aid/CPR or experience with medications is a plus Calm, reliable, and consistent personality Availability during peak times, especially winter holidays Perks & Benefits
