Senior Project Manager - Wet Utilities

Overview
Provide project management/field support services for wet utility projects (water, sewer, storm drain), including budgeting, scheduling, tracking, procurement, document control, quality, and managing multiple projects. Responsibilities
Read project contract and standard or special provisions as well as all project documents and client/customer requirements. Enforce the terms of the contract. Approve construction master schedule, project budget, subcontract agreements, and monthly pay applications for work completed. Attend progress meetings with owner/client and internal meetings to monitor the progress of work based on the construction schedule and address any issues/questions as they arise. Control field costs, schedule, and quality to ensure project objectives are met. Complete project forecasts, cost to complete, anticipated profit, and close out documentation. Assist with the preparation/development of the Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) through the development of the project specific approach. Assist in the preparation/development of Alternative Project Delivery Methods (APDM), including Design-Build (DB), Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and Job Order Contracting (JOC). Assist in the preparation, review, and approval of Design Phase Services Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal/budgets. Participate in the pre-construction services management activities through scoping meetings, pre-bid meetings, design review meetings, comment resolution meetings, and review of all project documentation. Assist in maintaining the flow of design documentation and pre-construction service deliverables. Maintain effective communication with the Division Manager and other key team members by attending construction progress review meetings, contributing to problem-solving discussions, and informing the Division Manager of unforeseen construction events or unresolved issues. Report monthly the actual project costs versus the original estimate. Leadership Qualities
Act as a company representative on matters relating to disputes and grievances per company and project policies. Be responsive to owner/client and management needs. Adhere to decision-making procedures so decisions and conflicts are handled at the lowest possible level. Promote an atmosphere of team building with the owner/client and team members. Conduct yourself in an exemplary manner, setting a good example for all team members to follow. Handle problems/issues quickly and bring them to resolution promptly. Anticipate and minimize potential negative problems with field activities, owner/employee attitudes, or other outside factors. Promote and procure growth through Business Development. Promote a site safety program to maintain a safe site in compliance with company, client/customer, and government requirements; coordinate with the Assistant Project Manager, General Superintendent, Superintendent, Foreman, and Safety. Mentor the development of Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred 10+ years’ experience in wet utility project management Ability to manage multiple jobs at a time Attention to detail and high sense of urgency Experience scheduling, forecasting, and submittals Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Experience with B2W, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project Strong customer focus and ability to establish/maintain relationships with team members, contractors, officials, vendors, and other outside contacts Team player Notice to all Employment, Staffing, and Recruiting Agencies and Recruiters
