Project Accountant - Construction
We are seeking an experienced Project or Construction Accountant for a stable, growth-oriented role within a family-like environment. Located near Long Beach, a real estate company is looking to add a Project Accountant to manage financials for multiple construction projects, including job costing and budgeting. Responsibilities
Manage accounting functions related to construction projects, including budgeting, job costing, and forecasting. Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including WIP schedules and variance analysis. Reconcile general ledger accounts tied to construction activities. Collaborate with project managers on budgets, expenditures, and profitability. Ensure compliance with policies, GAAP, and tax regulations. Process subcontractor payments, retainage, and lien waivers. Maintain records of contracts, change orders, and billings. Assist with financial reports, audits, and regulatory filings. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Identify and implement process improvements for workflows and reporting. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field 3+ years of project or construction accounting experience Advanced Excel skills Benefits
