. The NOSC Senior Networ
k Architect designs and
implements
secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures to support mission-critical operations. They develop strategic network solutions, optimize
performance, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies while leading cross-functional teams in the deployment of advanced networking technologies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the enterprise architecture, design, development, and deployment of network services in support of government customer
,
maintaining
up-to-date current network and system diagrams Develop, manage, and maintain
SDLC project artifacts such as requirements, design documents, diagrams, and other required documentation
. D
evelop roadmap for capabilities, operations, and technologies
ensuring
development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation for network configuration upgrades,
replacements,
additions, or revisions
. Research and implement enterprise-wide network solutions, capabilities, and enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and
objectives
, while
complying with
the network architecture and design standards. Troubleshoot network incidents, providing root cause analysis and documenting information in tickets and knowledge repositories. Lead, c
oordinate system maintenance, monitoring, and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies. Support network traffic analysis
,
bandwidth optimization efforts
, capacity planning and more to ensure enterprise network can support the DHS mission
. Evaluate and report on new/emerging
network/communication
technologies to enhance
capacity
, performance, and reliability. Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices Minimum
Qualifications: 12

years of Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and
firewall
technology
and a
bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field of study
(
a
dditional
years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
) A
8570 Compliant certifications A Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification Experience with primary network topologies, LANs,
WANs
and other common network standards Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS, MPLS V
ery strong
knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPSEC, and VRF) Familiarity with networking technologies including router/switch administration, ethernet and wireless networking and related protocols, hardware installation and support, system security techniques and
firewall
administration, basic database management
;
Experience with designing, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting network infrastructure
technology
. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification Clearance Requirements: Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and
maintain
a TS/SCI
. The ability to obtain and
maintain
a DHS EOD suitability is
required
prior to starting this position. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in an office environment and maneuver in data center and other IT equipment installation locations. Constantly
