This position is located in Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Facilities Operations and Service Division (FOSD), Facilities Operations Group (FOG) and Reservation Facility Related Control Systems (RFRCS). The FOG has the responsibility of overseeing the maintenance, repair and operation of all the HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems with the Pentagon Building and Mark Center. Overview

Selectees typical work assignments may include the following: Serve as a Computer Engineer and acts independently to uncover and resolve issues. Plan, research and develop IT solutions and recommend technological applications programs. Serve as Liaison between the FRSC Branch, building occupants, other public and private entities and/or contractors on matters pertaining to repair and maintenance projects. Design, research and develop highly advanced utility application. Provide expertise to develop plans, address current systems and needs and meet long range requirements. Requirements

May require working other than normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and/or overtime. Designation as MISSION CRITICAL. May be required to report for/remain at work in dismissal or closure situations. Qualifications

you MUST meet the specialized experience

for the grade you are applying for: GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 in the Federal service that demonstrates ability in providing technical engineering systems support to life safety power, standby power, mission critical power and mission critical chilled water systems to identify, analyze and implement solutions. GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9 that demonstrates ability in application and software engineering for Utility HMI/SCADA, Building or Industrial Controls Automation applications or Facility Operations Data Analyst. GS-9: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7 that demonstrates ability in application and software engineering for Utility HMI/SCADA or related systems, or Facility Operations Data Analysis. OR

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education, or LL.M., if related. OR

Education/experience combinations

with allowable substitutions as described in the notice. You may qualify at the GS-9, GS-11 or GS-12 levels depending on specialized experience and/or education.
