This role supports the business by executing specific risk management activities, including drafting policies and procedures, performing control testing, supporting issue management practices, and supporting annual risk assessment refreshes. This role works closely with the risk teams to ensure adherence to the risk framework and promote a risk-aware culture. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure control effectiveness, provides data for risk oversight, and helps operationalize risk expectations in a consistent and practical manner. Essential Functions

Assist Sr. Risk Managers and LOD1 Director in meeting departmental goals and objectives. Build and manage the business line's centralized LOD1 function; act as a liaison to Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, and Compliance in support of the 3Lines of Defense program. Own and maintain the business-line's process inventory and internal control environment inventory. Work with Compliance (and other Risk functions) to obtain a high-level understanding of and monitor applicable regulations and requirements. Partner with Enterprise Risk Management in the execution of Risk and Control Self Assessments. Own and maintain the business-line's detailed process and technical recovery plans. Partner with Business Continuity Management on business-line participation in BC/DR tests. Oversee and monitor the business-line's third-party relationships, including performance and risk management. Assist the business-line in the design and build of process maps aligned with Early Warning's Process Classification Framework; design, maintain, and report metrics (KPIs and KRIs) demonstrating control effectiveness. Identify and self-report issues through the ERM Self-Identified Issue Process, individually and with other LOD1 members. Ensure risk remediation plans exist and are sufficient; track remediation plans to completion and ensure remediation is on-time and sustainable; manage action plans and remediation of issues by Risk Owner. Ensure the completion of action plans and remediation of self-identified issues by each Issue Owner and Risk Owner. Support the business-line Risk Acceptance Forms process, when applicable. Support business-line leadership in managing and reporting related risks; provide reports for Business Reviews, Audit, or Management Committee meetings. Collaborate with Business Intelligence to design and implement risk reports for management. Deliver education and awareness of risk ownership essentials. Continually monitor and update assessments of the control environment, and perform internal control effectiveness test plans and procedures. Support the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data. Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field. Minimum of three or more years of audit, operational risk or other risk management experience or other proven related business experience. Good understanding of risk management and internal control leading practices within the specific area of focus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, highly regulated environment. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements within the specific area of focus. Effective communication, organization and presentation skills. Effective influence management skills. Knowledge of COSO's Internal Control - Integrated Framework, or similar Certification in risk management First line of defense risk management experience Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation. The base pay scale for this position in: Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL in USD per year is: $104,000 - $130,000. New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $125,000 - $156,000. Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits. Benefits
