Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. We are looking for a passionate and analytically minded professional to join the Strategic Finance organization. This individual will sit at the intersection of Finance & Data Analytics and will partner with Engineering teams with a focus on Cloud spend, while building data modeling and reporting foundations for Technology spend. Strategic Finance owns the company’s budget and financial planning processes, performs financial analyses, provides financial guidance to effectively invest, and helps maximize the impact of spend in our largest cost centers. What You’ll Do
Own the 3-5 financial models related to Affirm’s cloud spend, with a large focus on AWS cost and drive momentum of Affirm’s FinOps journey Own month-end close, monthly re-forecast, and annual budget process for Affirm’s engineering vendor spend Innovate forecasting processes to develop more efficient and accurate financial models using the latest technologies and tools Partner cross-functionally across engineering, technology finance, corporate finance, accounting, and analytics to transform scattered datasets into digestible data models for operational and financial analytics Develop and maintain finance dashboards, reports, and visualizations to deliver standardized reporting and actionable insights to Technology leadership Provide Finance leadership with detailed understanding of short- and long-term risks and opportunities for the Technology organization What We Look For
2+ years experience in fast-paced analytical roles (strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, analytics, etc.) Strong financial modeling skills; experience with cloud financial management is a plus Experience and proficiency in SQL required. Python or other coding languages a plus Strong sense of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and ability to think creatively and critically in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment Excellent communicators who are comfortable presenting to company executives High attention to detail with ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context Prior experience with financial planning tools such as Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, or Adaptive Solid understanding of managerial accounting a plus BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics or related field Compensation & Benefits
USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $115,000 - $155,000 USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $102,000 - $142,000 Equity Grade - 4; Base Pay Grade - I Affirm focuses on a simple and transparent pay structure. Base pay may be part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Affirm is remote-first. The majority of roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment.
