Excess Casualty Underwriter (Hiring at Multiple Levels, up to VP | Remote - IL, CA)
My client, a leading is seeking a seasoned insurance professional to join their Excess Casualty team. This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President and involves both supporting strategic initiatives and independently developing profitable underwriting opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite and manage a portfolio of new and renewal excess casualty accounts, including complex risks such as habitational, commercial contractors, hospitality, and miscellaneous casualty.
Handle excess construction project business, including wrap-ups, project-specific policies, and owner's interest for mid-to-large scale commercial and residential developments.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers.
Promote the company's excess casualty products and contribute to team collaboration through meetings and workshops.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in excess casualty underwriting.
Strong broker relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a national underwriting team.
