Complex Financial Instrument

valuations to join Withum’s Forensic and Valuation Services Group. The Valuation Senior Associate can be based out of various U.S. office locations; this is not a remote position, with an in-office expectation of 3 days per week on-site at one of our office locations. This role will be primarily focused on supporting Complex Financial Instrument valuations. Senior Associates work on a variety of assignments, including taking substantial responsibility in performing equity valuations or complex security valuations (stock options, warrants, convertible debt, other complex securities/derivatives, etc.) for financial reporting, tax compliance, transaction advisory, and other purposes. Additionally, Senior Associates assist in projects related to economic and statistical analysis, model validation, database management, and other ad hoc quantitative assignments. Preparing valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (enterprise values, stock options, warrants, convertible debt, equity allocations across complex capital structures, and other complex securities/derivatives) primarily in Excel Completing data entry of tax returns and financial statements into Excel models Assisting in writing and preparing reports, letters, and other client deliverables Assisting in review of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes Performing macroeconomic and industry research Reviewing various agreements, documents, research papers, and market research to capture salient points for modeling and communicating key drivers Assisting in the development and maintenance of models using Excel and VBA for Monte Carlo, lattices, or other complex methods as requested Reviewing and understanding the necessary tax and financial reporting guidance governing the analysis Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or similar quantitative discipline 2+ years of relevant experience in CFI valuations Understanding of equity valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing Understanding of financial statements and business tax returns Progress towards external designations such as CFA, CVA, CPA/ABV, or ASA is a plus Strong interest in quantitative and economic analysis Advanced knowledge of Excel Ability to program in VBA and/or other statistical packages is a plus Ability to work independently on projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills Compensation and Benefits

In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
