Job Description The Middle Market Underwriting Account Representative (UAR) supports the underwriting process for new and renewal customers across multiple lines of insurance, including property, casualty, workers compensation, excess lines, and automobile coverages. The role involves collaborating with team members to achieve growth, profit, renewal retention, service, and client management goals within the middle market segment of Commercial Insurance. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing account data, interpreting and translating this data into rating and issuance instructions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and corporate pricing strategies. The UAR assists with binding and issuing new and renewal business and ensures proper documentation of files. Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess the following skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and internet navigation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners in a multicultural environment Proven analytical and mathematical skills, including arithmetic, algebra, and basic accounting principles Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills for confident decision-making Ability to learn quickly, prioritize tasks, and perform within deadlines Effective time and desk management skills with attention to detail to meet or exceed business goals Basic knowledge of underwriting principles and policy forms is a plus Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Adaptability to a fast-paced environment Education and Experience: Associates Degree or equivalent; a 4-year degree is preferred 1-2 years of relevant insurance experience is preferred About Us Chubb is a global leader in insurance, operating in 54 countries.
