We are seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between our software services offerings—including software development, software testing, and artificial intelligence solutions—and our client's business needs. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a strategic thinker, and a continuous learner who thrives at the intersection of technology and business.
This is a hybrid position based in Pleasanton, CA, requiring regular on-site collaboration and up to 25% travel for client meetings, industry events, and team engagements.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Account Managers to articulate compelling technical solutions that drive business outcomes.
Conduct discovery sessions to understand client pain points, goals, and technical environments.
Deliver tailored presentations and demos to audiences across varying technical expertise—from developers to C-suite executives.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused messaging that resonates with stakeholders.
Solution Design & Technical Enablement
Partner with the delivery team to develop and articulate customized solution architectures that align with client needs in areas such as software testing, application development, and AI integration.
Lead technical deep dives and whiteboarding sessions with clients and internal teams.
Assist in creating responses to RFPs, solution documentation, and technical statements of work (SOWs).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with engineering teams to gather insights into emerging capabilities and help translate them into client-facing value propositions.
Collaborate with marketing to ensure the availability of up-to-date technical collateral, case studies, and solution briefs.
Enable and educate account teams with ongoing product knowledge, competitive differentiators, and positioning strategies.
Industry & Product Expertise
Stay current on trends in software development, testing methodologies, DevOps practices, and artificial intelligence innovations.
Continuously learn about industry shifts, competitive landscapes, and client-specific verticals to inform strategy.
Qualifications:
Must be an expert in artificial intelligence concepts and their business applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role within a software services or technology firm.
Expertise in software development lifecycles, QA/testing frameworks (manual and automated), and AI/ML concepts.
Proven ability to adapt communication styles and content to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Experience working with enterprise clients across multiple industries.
Strong presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Git, Selenium, Postman, and AI platforms like TensorFlow, AWS SageMaker, or OpenAI APIs is a plus.
Salary Range:
$150,000 - $170,000 per annum (30% Variable).
