Overview
Job Description for Procurement Manager for Marketing at Sazerac. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the efficient sourcing, procurement, and timely delivery of marketing point-of-sale materials, including branded merchandise and value-added packaging (VAP). This role oversees the end-to-end process from artwork development to fulfillment, while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and exceptional service standards. The role collaborates closely with internal teams, vendors, and agencies to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Budget Management
Contribute to the development of annual POS budgets and procurement efficiency targets. Implement KPIs to achieve cost savings and process improvements across departments and brand budgets (e.g., freight, services). Source marketing materials with optimal cost and quality using approved vendors.
Vendor Management & Fulfillment
Lead negotiations with approved vendors for POS materials. Conduct formal supplier performance reviews using scorecards and KPIs. Ensure quality, innovation, service, and risk are managed effectively while meeting cost-savings targets. Manage vendor contracts, material sourcing, and workload distribution.
Project & Program Execution
Oversee the development, fulfillment, and trafficking of POS materials. Track procurement activities including POs, invoices, and goods received. Support the sales and SBA teams with local POS requests across all categories.
Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement
Deliver world-class customer service to internal teams, vendors, and consumers. Keep stakeholders informed through updated status reports and communication of opportunities. Manage expectations and delivery for global distributor partners regarding catalog offerings and POS needs.
Digital Tools & Systems Management
Maintain and update online ordering portals to ensure a seamless user experience. Evaluate and improve POS fulfillment systems (e.g., Dri-View, Vivid). Maintain media libraries featuring POS assets and vendor information.
Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Use data tools and systems to identify areas for self-improvement and increased job effectiveness (PDS system). Manage, analyze, and recommend changes for rebate and coupon programs by brand and state. Continuously research market trends and competitive materials to innovate POS offerings.

Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 5 years of experience managing vendor relationships, including contracts Proven negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings and supplier performance management Proficiency with data tools, statistical analysis, and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Must reside in the state of Kentucky OR be willing to relocate to the Louisville area. Additional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) design or related industry Prior experience in the alcohol beverage or broader CPG industry Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strategic thinking, stakeholder management, project leadership, and communication skills Willingness to travel as needed Culture and Benefits
