Job Overview:
As a Contract Product Design FEA Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in mechanics, materials, and numerical methods to play a pivotal role in predictive engineering. Your contributions will directly impact the success of innovative products. You will drive the structural design of new products using predictive system-level finite element simulation, including building and running system-level models for critical design load cases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional design teams to iterate and enhance product designs.
Responsibilities:
Set up and run simple to complex system FEA simulations. Postprocess large volumes of simulation data. Summarize and present FEA simulation results to Product Design Engineers. Provide recommendations for design improvements and iterate on designs quickly and collaboratively.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Abaqus, including implicit and explicit finite element analysis (FEA). Strong knowledge of solid mechanics. Excellent cross-functional collaboration and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a passion for creating cutting-edge products. MS in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ANSA and META. Expertise in system-level modeling and simulation. Experience in IC packaging, board-level solder joint reliability, shock, and thermal cycling. Knowledge of the mechanical behavior of materials and constitutive modeling. PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Material Science, or a related discipline.

Pay Range: $85 - $90
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Our full-time consultants have access to benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401K contributions as well as any other PTO, sick leave, and other benefits mandated by appliable state or localities where you reside or work.
