Andros Innovations
Company Description
Andros is developing a novel reactor to produce ammonia efficiently at atmospheric pressure. Our reactors replace the status-quo Haber-Bosch process for ammonia production which hasn't changed in over a century. Our reactors can enable a switch to low-carbon fertilizers, ammonia as a hydrogen carrier, and sustainable marine fuels. We are transitioning from the lab to a pilot-scale system and seeking a business development lead to help us commercialize our innovation. Role Description
You will be the first commercial hire at Andros Innovations, responsible for creating and executing our early go-to-market strategy. This is not a traditional sales role; it is a high-impact, strategic position that requires a hands-on approach and an entrepreneurial mindset. You will work directly with the CEO and the founding team to build our customer base and commercial pipeline from scratch. Key Responsibilities
Market & Customer Strategy:
Identify and prioritize beachhead markets for our low-carbon ammonia technology, with a specific focus on the Northeast region. Customer Acquisition:
Develop and nurture relationships with potential customers, leading to the negotiation and securing of Letters of Intent (LOIs) and Statements of Interest (SOIs) for future partnerships and product deployment. Channel Partner Development:
Identify and build relationships with key channel partners, distributors, and integrators who can accelerate our market penetration. Trade Shows & Industry Representation:
Represent Andros at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads. Grant Support:
Work closely with the Grants & Policy Lead and the technical team to provide customer and market data for grant applications and public-private partnerships. Your insights will be crucial for securing non-dilutive funding. What We're Looking For
Experience:
5-10+ years of experience in industrial B2B sales, business development, or a related commercial role in the chemical, energy, or industrial hardware sectors. Experience working with early-stage, deep-tech startups is a significant plus. Entrepreneurial Mindset:
You are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable building a function from the ground up. You are a problem solver who can think strategically but is also willing to get your hands dirty. Networking Skills:
You have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level executives, technical leads, and potential partners. Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for a commercial audience. Seniority level
