Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers. Initiates requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes proposed pricing, evaluates supplier quality and reliability, and ensures delivery schedule support. Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations. Issues and manages purchase orders, ensures compliance with public law and company policies, and coordinates with logistics and receiving. Utilizes Lean Six Sigma tools with suppliers to drive quality and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

Source and procure goods and services from multiple suppliers. Initiate RFQs/RFPs; analyze supplier pricing proposals. Evaluate and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and delivery performance. Collaborate with internal customers to validate specifications. Identify cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and risk management opportunities through negotiations. Issue and manage purchase orders; ensure compliance with laws, policies, and import/export regulations. Monitor supplier performance and maintain appropriate documentation for logistics, receiving, and payment. Apply tools such as Lean Six Sigma to drive quality and continuous improvement with suppliers. Qualifications

9 years of experience required. A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s with 3 years of experience in procurement, contracts, subcontracts, or related field may be considered. Experience working with multiple contracting formats (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable); knowledge of progress or performance-based payments. Ability to understand the proposal process, pricing instructions, terms and conditions; determine adequacy of supplier proposals. Strong leadership, communication, and writing skills; risk mitigation and problem-solving abilities. US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Word and Excel; experience with Cospoint, Cognos, and SharePoint. Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting, FAR/DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audit procedures. ASCM or APICS Certification. Benefits and Additional Information

Primary level salary range: $79,100.00 – $118,700.00. Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, holidays, and PTO.
