Job Description Are you a trade compliance expert with a keen eye for detail and a passion for navigating the complexities of global trade? We’re seeking a
knowledgeable and proactive Customs Compliance & Foreign Trade Analyst
to support Bosch Group’s trade operations across North America. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring seamless and compliant import/export transactions, including those within Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs). You’ll conduct in-depth research, assess the effectiveness of trade compliance programs, and implement key compliance initiatives. You’ll also prepare reports for North American GBs, support program implementation, and assist management with the accurate and timely execution of international trade functions.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Compliance Research & Enforcement: Conduct research on trade regulations, enforcement actions, and international trade agreements. Provide guidance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Program Evaluation & Effectiveness: Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to optimize operations.
Program Implementation & Coordination: Oversee and implement compliance-related programs. Coordinate processes to ensure efficient execution in line with regulatory standards.
Document Review & Compliance: Review import, export, and FTZ documentation for accuracy and completeness. Validate information such as Country of Origin, valuation, and OGA filings.
Complex Transaction Management: Assist with complex import/export transactions, including valuation, provision schedules, and routing guidance. Ensure accurate and timely transactions for regulatory compliance.
Customs and Regulatory Communication: Maintain consultative communication with management and staff across functions. Address and resolve compliance inquiries promptly.
Freight Forwarder & Customs Broker Support: Respond to inquiries from freight forwarders, customs brokers, and vendors to ensure timely clearance and proper documentation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with key partners to ensure efficient flow of goods and compliance across the supply chain.
Performance Metrics & Reporting: Generate metrics related to import/export processes and support continuous improvement of compliance practices. Prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Participation: Participate in process improvement initiatives and assist in implementing best practices.
Regulatory Monitoring & Updates: Monitor changes in trade regulations and communicate updates to internal stakeholders; modify processes as needed.
Customs Recordkeeping & Documentation: Maintain customs records in compliance with CBP regulations and the FTR, ensuring accuracy and availability for review.
Support Compliance Department Activities: Provide support for other compliance-related activities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Key Competencies :
Consultative Communication: Effectively communicate with management and staff across functions, providing insights on trade compliance matters.
Operational Expertise: Perform daily operational tasks related to import/export compliance under supervision or with senior team members.
Trade Compliance Knowledge: Expertise in international trade compliance operations, including FTZ operations and regulatory compliance.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of U.S. Customs and foreign trade regulations, including Country of Origin and valuation assessments.
Problem Solving: Respond to compliance inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
Vendor & Relationship Management: Build relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders for smooth movement of goods.
Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy of import/export documentation and compliance records.
Project & Process Management: Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives and manage complex projects.
Basic Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export operations.
Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import/export laws, FTZs, and related compliance frameworks.
Proficiency with trade compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in customs documentation review, valuation, and Country of Origin determinations.
Effective communication with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Familiarity with performance metrics, reporting, and compliance auditing.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Customs Brokerage License or related (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist).
Experience with compliance systems and tools for trade documentation (e.g., ACE).
Knowledge of international trade agreements and their impact on compliance procedures.

Salary Range:
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Pay may include bonus, commission, or additional benefits.
