Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Senior Development Manager

to oversee the execution of multifamily and mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will bring 5–10+ years of relevant multifamily real estate development experience, with a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception through completion. This individual will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, driving projects forward while ensuring alignment with financial, design, and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities

Lead all phases of development projects, including site acquisition support, entitlements, design, construction, and delivery. Manage project proforms and budgets, and schedules to ensure financial and operational success. Oversee consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and other external partners, ensuring quality and timely execution. Collaborate with internal acquisitions, finance, and asset management teams to underwrite deals, evaluate feasibility, and support investment decisions. Navigate entitlement processes, zoning approvals, and permitting with local municipalities and community stakeholders. Lead project design development, ensuring alignment with market demand, company standards, and investor requirements. Monitor construction progress and work with contractors to manage costs, mitigate risks, and address issues proactively. Support capital raising and investor relations efforts with project-level information and updates. Prepare and present development updates to senior leadership and investment committees. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 5–12+ years of development experience, with a focus on multifamily and/or mixed-use projects. Strong financial acumen, with experience building and managing detailed proformas and budgets. Demonstrated success in managing entitlement processes, design development, and construction oversight. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management software; experience with Argus or similar tools a plus. Ability to travel nationally to oversee projects as required. Seniority level
