Overview
Job Title: Assistant Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Texas McCombs Location: UT Main Campus, Austin, TX Employer: The University of Texas at Austin, Red McCombs School of Business Position status: Exempt, full-time, 40 hours/week, earliest start date immediately. Position duration: expected to continue. Responsibilities
Portfolio Management and Relationship Development: Cultivate, solicit, and steward active and new corporate and foundation relationships to drive gifts and resources for Texas McCombs; engage in qualification, strategy, relationship building, and closing of corporate and foundation gifts; identify key alumni at target companies for development outreach; oversee company engagement and facilitate involvement opportunities including executive cultivation, campus visits, classroom speaking engagements, special events, donor recognition, and fundraising events; document corporate interactions, gifts and engagement in CRM systems; interface with internal stakeholders to determine corporate sponsorship initiatives and connect partners goals with program needs; work with cross-campus partners on collaborative efforts; travel as needed to visit prospective/current corporate partners to deepen relationships. Development and Administrative Support
Collaborate with the Senior Director to develop and execute corporate relations team strategy, including special projects and priority initiatives such as reviving sponsorship programs; assist with and/or lead team analytics projects; support the preparation of compelling proposals with budgets to corporations and foundations in collaboration with the Director; provide editorial support and maintain reporting protocols; support McCombs marketing, events and initiatives; assist Senior Director and Director with large corporate accounts. Administration and Research
Research philanthropic interests and capacity of corporations and foundations; prepare agendas and materials for strategic meetings; draft invoices, agreements, NDAs and related documents; assist hosting corporate and foundation visits on campus. Special Projects and Other Duties
Assist Senior Director and Director with other duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; five or more years of experience in development, account management, customer service, career services, university relations, sales, or related fields; demonstrated professional experience in relationship building and management; ability to balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment; strong customer service ethic; professional business acumen with confidentiality; attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines and apply strategic insight in outreach; willingness to travel and work varying hours; proficient with computers and databases (PowerPoint, Excel, email, CRM systems). Preferred Qualifications
Experience in development, sales or career services fundraising and engagement; ability to engage with senior executives, recruiters, alumni, faculty, staff, and students; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools; experience creating, monitoring, and reporting metrics for outreach; experience soliciting and stewarding corporate and foundation donors; experience working with mid-level and senior executives and university stakeholders. Salary
70,000 USD plus, depending on qualifications Working Conditions
Standard office conditions; occasional evening and weekend hours during peak periods; Austin-based; travel as needed; must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Not eligible for visa sponsorship. Required Materials
