Responsibilities The Senior Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role oversees project plans, resources, budgets, and deliverables while monitoring team performance, resolving issues, and maintaining quality standards. Acting as a strategic partner to business leaders, the Senior Project Manager translates organizational goals into actionable plans, drives execution through expert coordination and risk management. The Senior Project Manager will lead junior team members and champion project management best practices across the organization.
Business Relationship Management
Build and foster partnerships with customers/stakeholders/sponsors to align project goals with strategic priorities
Coordinate resource needs and availability between vendors, sponsors, and project team members
Communicate transparently and frequently on issues and status of project with project team(s), sponsors, and customer executives
Monitor project impact and gather feedback across the project team to improve future collaboration and outcomes
Represent and articulate PMO’s capability and competency to the customers/stakeholders/sponsors
Project Management
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high-impact projects simultaneously
Translate business needs into actionable project plans
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
Align project objectives with company goals, and make sure project team is clear on objectives and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
Implement and promote project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools (ServiceNow)
Partner with Change Management to support communication, training, and stakeholder adoption activities.
Project Governance
Ensure that all governance, compliance, security, and change control needs are met.
Provide weekly reports to management highlighting project progress, and risks and issues, escalating as needed
Monitor project scope and escalate indications of scope creep to customers/stakeholders/sponsors
Measure and track project success criteria, including business outcomes, ROI, and benefits realization.
Assist PMO Manager with preparation of monthly report-out of all projects in-flight and upcoming across all functional teams to executive leadership
Process Improvements
Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions
Provide quality assurance, weekly, over prompt time entry submissions and approval across all PMO Projects and resources
Provide quality assurance, weekly, over Demand and Project creation in ServiceNow, maintaining overall data hygiene therein
Scope
Manages 2 direct reports — Project Specialists within the HR PMO
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities
Manage projects and resources allocated to specific project assignments
Monitor financial budgets / cost plans per project assignment and report out budget vs. actuals
Create resource plans and track resource allocations throughout lifecycle of project, making updates as necessary
Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical to non-technical audiences
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
Qualifications What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field, required
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
Experience in a broad scope of enterprise technologies (Workday, ServiceNow)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience, required
Agile Certification (PMI-ACP) or equivalent experience, required
Experience with ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management, preferred
