RTX BBN Technologies’ (BBN) Physical Sciences and Systems business unit is seeking an Associate Director – Program Management to lead the growth of our unique sensing and sensor processing capabilities. Responsibilities

Drive cutting edge technical work and innovative research through managing program execution, opportunity development and capture, and technology transition Lead multiple, large research and development (R&D) programs having diverse teams that include subcontractors, vendors, and consultants, as well as teammates from other parts of RTX Be recognized both inside RTX as well as outside it as a leader in development, implementation, and analysis of sensor technology at BBN. Provide leadership to the Sensor Systems Lines of Business within the Physical Sciences and Systems Business Unit. Work with Principal Investigators and other technical leads on a multitude of marketing and new business capture opportunities. Coordinate activities and respond to needs, risks, issues, and deliverable requirements with stakeholders internal and external to the company Proactively communicate, manage, and mitigate technical and programmatic risks. Manage program teams when executing program tasking, responding to customer needs, and meeting contractual responsibilities Report to internal and external management on program status, progress, successes, and problems Be responsible for monitoring spending, staffing, contract schedules, subcontracts, material purchases, and deliverables, as well as all internal supporting staff Ensure that the team stays on task and on budget while meeting all customer needs and submitting all program deliverables Work with a motivated, engaged, and exciting group of peers, and mentor junior program managers Qualifications

A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of project management / program management experience. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Possess at least 10 years’ experience preparing multimillion dollar cost proposals and managing multimillion dollar programs to consistently execute on budget and schedule Repeated track record of delivering products or services that meet or exceed customer expectations and requirements, and successfully meeting near and long-term business financial projections related to new business growth Demonstrated ability to provide organizational leadership to technical teams, develop plans for business sustainment and growth, make projections of future business success Interest in and understanding of sensor physics and technologies, and related signal processing approaches and hardware/software implementations. Preferred Qualifications

Extensive contacts across Government, industry, and academia; Experience in design, development, manufacture and testing of prototype systems in the laboratory or in the field, including software development and integration with novel hardware Experience writing successful proposals to secure R&D funding for executing technical programs for various branches/offices on the US Government, and leading those programs. Experience leading technical teams of scientists and engineers working on R&D projects, and managing subcontractors, vendors, and consultants on multiple, simultaneous multi-million-dollar programs Experience with acoustic, fiber optic, or geophysical sensing and/or imaging systems The ability to move into a leadership position in our organization What We Offer
