Pay Range: $132000Yerars - $132000Years The Senior Contracts Manager / Procurement Lead is responsible for leading complex cross-functional projects and contracts, managing procurement from initiation through completion, and providing strategic guidance on contracting and sourcing. This role involves advising senior leadership, developing and executing procurement plans, negotiating contracts, improving business processes, and mentoring contract management staff. The position serves as the primary liaison to client Legal Departments and collaborates with stakeholders across project management, engineering, and other lines of business. Responsibilities

Lead complex cross-functional projects and contracts as a single point of contact for procurement. Develop and execute project procurement plans following the seven-step sourcing process. Advise senior leadership on contracting strategy, negotiations, and risk management. Negotiate complex contract issues independently. Identify, analyze, and improve existing business processes or develop new processes to meet project goals. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders such as Project Management Director, PMO Director, Engineering Director, and others. Serve as primary liaison for the contracts team to the client’s Legal Department. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less experienced contract management staff. Develop and deliver contract management training to all stakeholders. Promote knowledge sharing and adoption of best practices across the organization. Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience. 9+ years of experience executing and managing contracts for major heavy civil, pipeline, or industrial construction projects. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and contract management systems (e.g., SRM, Ariba, SAP, scheduling software). Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage conflicts constructively and achieve win-win resolutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences. Knowledge of budget and resource allocation, contract formulation, bids, agreements, and RFPs. Desired Skills and Qualifications

Master’s degree in Construction Management or related discipline. Experience developing complex contracting strategies (EPC/CMAR/PDB/DB/GMP). Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), or Lean Six Sigma (Green or XX Belt). Experience with major construction project controls, cost estimating, scheduling, QA/QC for contract documents. Subject matter expertise in engineering and construction contracts, change orders, and negotiation. Ability to develop reports, models, and simulations to support project decision-making.
