About The Position
Are you passionate about food and committed to delivering excellent guest experiences? If so, this role as Assistant Store Manager might be perfect for you. You will serve as an ambassador of the store, demonstrating hospitality and helping to lead team engagement, productivity, and business results.
The pay range is $25.51 - $31.88 per hour.
What You'll Do
Lead with exemplary hospitality, educate team members and guests on products and services
Create and manage team schedules in alignment with guest shopping hours
Analyze sales and other reports to inform business decisions
Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members
Partner with Guest Services to ensure a hospitable onboarding experience
Train team members through The Fresh Market Academy and on-the-job training
Coach team members to optimize operations and increase retention
Manage store inventories and minimize product loss
Ensure adherence to company standards and policies
Manage the store’s social media presence
Collaborate with managers to enhance teamwork and engagement
Ensure safety protocols are followed, including food safety standards
Availability
This position requires flexibility to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 5-7 years retail experience, leadership experience
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong communication skills
Ability to read and follow planograms, policies, and procedures
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in perishable, hospitality, or grocery retail
Experience with production planning software and applicant tracking software (iCIMS preferred)
Physical and Work Conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work long periods standing, exposure to extreme temperatures
Use of tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, pallet jacks
