Responsibilities ECS is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all required tasks on a project, from proposal to final invoice payment, are completed either by themselves or by subordinates. The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for the completion and overall success of the project and serves as the main point of contact for the client. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understands ECS Core Values.
Actively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the team
Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues
Market our services and maintain and develop the client database
Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, review invoices, and assist with collection efforts
Schedule, train and oversee subordinate staff members
Prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
Oversee environmental projects and assist junior staff with issue resolution and field staff training
Oversee the preparation and review of proposals and change orders
Prepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations; oversee reports prepared by junior staff
Perform peer/senior review of deliverables prior to Principal review
Host or attend project discussions with clients and follow up on reports
Collaborate with other managers to make staffing decisions
Manage asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and indoor air quality assessments
Review daily reports from field staff; perform site visits to ensure quality and progress; mentor junior staff; communicate milestones to client
Direct site activities and maintain communication with field staff and senior managers on multiple projects
Understand sample collection, preparation, preservation and laboratory submission requirements
Independently prepare reports for Principal review; lead client meetings to present findings
Maintain knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines
Coordinate with junior staff to direct field work performed by subcontractors and ECS technicians; manage multiple projects simultaneously
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of related experience
Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred
Must hold current Texas Mold Assessment License and Texas Asbestos License
Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications
Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
Strong ability to manage and develop new clients and relationships
Ability to review field and laboratory testing and provide feedback; train or take corrective action as needed
Experience delegating and assigning projects while managing other projects independently
