Director, Finance - Global Operations
will be responsible for all operations-related accounting and forecasting as well as supporting the Operations team in driving efficiencies and providing insightful analysis for that team. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is part of the Finance & Accounting organization located in
Torrance, CA
and will be an
on-site role . In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To Partner with Operations to improve gross margin, through careful identification and management of cost trends. Develop and lead, individually and through management of direct reports, all Operations Finance processes while coordinating with global finance and business teams to consolidate global results. Manage annual product costing which includes calculation, review and maintenance of annual labor, overhead, material burden and freight-in rates by product lines for standard cost roll at year-end and during budget process. Manage PPV, VAVE and Indirect expense cost reduction against targets, driving additional projects with operations. Work closely with Supply Chain Team on inventory controls and management including physical inventory counts. Provide decision support to the operations team in analyzing margins, purchase price and production variances and other associated operating costs through insightful internal reporting dashboards. Manage the Capital Asset Request Expenditures process within Operations to ensure prioritization within the budget, compliance with accounting policy and approval matrix. The Successful Candidate Will Possess Ability to balance the demands of financial accuracy with operational effectiveness, elevate issues and keep the CFO advised of current and evolving matters. Required software expertise — ERP and Financial Consolidation tools like Hyperion Enterprise, mastery in Excel. The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include BS/BA in Accounting/Finance, CPA and/or MBA preferred 10+ years of increasing responsibility in various accounting and finance roles including proficiency in FP&A or Operations Finance in a fast-paced, results-oriented global manufacturing organization. Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience Phenomenex offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The salary range for this role is
$180,000 - $220,000
annually. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
