Lyra Technology Group is seeking a
Director of Operations & Strategy
for one of our operating companies,
Gravity Networks , in Knoxville, TN. The
Director of Operations & Strategy
will play a critical role in leading teams, strengthening company culture, and driving operational performance.
In this role, you will oversee daily business operations, implement growth strategies, manage budgets and financial performance, hire and train staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Your work as a Director of Operations & Strategy will include the following duties:
Lead, coach, and develop managers and teams to ensure strong performance, accountability, and engagement.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Drive organizational alignment by ensuring teams understand priorities and deliver results.
Partner with senior leadership to translate company goals into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and improve organizational effectiveness.
Track key operational and people-related metrics, using data to drive decision-making.
Ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains strong talent at all levels.
Build training, leadership development, and succession planning programs that strengthen bench strength.
Anticipate future organizational needs and design structures and processes that enable sustainable growth.
Drive change management efforts to support evolving business priorities.
Standardize and optimize workflows across departments to reduce redundancies and improve efficiency.
Build operational playbooks, processes, and KPIs to ensure consistent execution across the business.
Oversee cross-departmental communication to ensure information flows smoothly and decisions are aligned.
Identify and implement tools, systems, and technologies that improve scalability and reporting.
Partner with Finance and Sales to align operational planning with budget, forecasts, and revenue targets.
Lead special projects and strategic initiatives that impact both people and business outcomes.
Our ideal Director of Operations & Strategy has the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Organizational Leadership, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, people management, or organizational strategy.
Proven track record of leading teams and delivering results in a growth-oriented business.
Strong operational acumen with the ability to balance strategic vision and tactical execution.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Experience in professional services, technology, or private equity–backed businesses a plus.
The targeted base compensation for this role is $110,000-125,000 per year plus an annual bonus with a hybrid work model in Knoxville, Tennessee.
