Overview

Central Care Center Supervisor at Service Corporation International. As a working supervisor, manages the day-to-day Personal Care Center operations ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and safety. Develops work schedules, delegates workload across resources. Responsibilities

Embalming and Preparation: Performs responsibilities of Embalmer and Cosmetologist; may have crematory responsibilities. Maintains a clean, stocked, and compliant preparation room. Cleans soiled equipment and hazardous material spills. Ensures hazardous materials and spills are handled in accordance with the Material Data Safety Sheets. Inventories and orders supplies to ensure an adequate supply. Requests Care Center and Crematory equipment maintenance and repair; escalates equipment replacement to management. Quality Control and Training: Inspect deceased at various preparation stages ensuring result meets the family’s expectations. Collaborates with Learning & Development on training needs. Develops job aids to facilitate learning and procedure checklists. Executes and participates in various training activities. Trains team on safe working environment and procedures. May retrain staff to ensure compliance with operating procedures of corporate, federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA regulations and Safety and Environmental guidelines. Supervision: Oversees the day-to-day Care Center operations. Develops work schedules, delegates assignments, and communicates priorities and expectations. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, including embalming, transporting, removals, dispatching. People Development: Develop a strong, trusting, and reliable team. Understand team members\' career aspirations and provide assignments to develop skills. Constructively address issues and provide feedback. Apply proactive and collaborative management to increase engagement and minimize turnover. Monitor training and licensing requirements ensuring staff is re-trained/licensed prior to expiration. Coordinate staff work and time-off schedules. Responsible for screening candidates and hiring or promoting staff. Recommends pay increases, special pays, and career advancements. Education/Experience/Minimum Requirements

Education: State specific required diploma or accreditations. Certification/License: Holds and maintains any State specific licensing and/or certifications. Valid State Driver’s License. Experience: At least five (5) years of funeral home, care center and/or decedent care preparation. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrates a high level of skill, personal attributes and abilities required for recognition by both peers and management. Sets the standards for quality, teamwork, and productivity required for a high volume Personal Care Center. Knowledge of computers and some software including MS Office products required. Ability to work individually and as a team. Ability to prioritize and organize effectively with a keen sense to detail. High level of compassion and integrity. Effective communication, training and problem solving skills. Strong written and oral communication. Work Conditions

Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions. Limited local travel and/or multiple location travel required. When not required to wear protective gear and if not in contact with families, embalmers must be dressed in a professional manner. Professional Dress is required when in contact with families. Uniforms may be required in some locations. Physical Demands

Frequent standing up to 8 hours per day; sitting up to 6 hours per day; kneeling, reaching and bending; climbing stairs to access buildings. Carrying and/or lifting materials up to 100 pounds with assistance; pushing or pulling up to 300 pounds on a wheeled table or stretcher. Work Hours

Working beyond “standard” hours as the need arises. Location: Dallas, TX 75218. Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00
