Position Summary
Based in Dallas, TX or Remote, the Project Manager, NPI will perform essential job functions associated with facilitating and tracking the flow of NPI projects within the engineering teams, and modelling financial elements (cost, revenue, budget growth, etc.) of NPI projects across the division. This role will work closely with engineering, sales, and commercial teams in order to facilitate the deployment of complex engineering and new product introduction projects at a divisional scale and develop a standardized NPI process workflow. This position will be under the direction of the Commercial Manager.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.
Facilitate cross-functional teams through the end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and customer expectations. Develop and manage detailed project plans and timelines for new product initiatives. Act as the primary liaison between Engineering, Sales, Commercial, and other departments to ensure seamless product development and launch. Facilitate regular project meetings to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues. Track project scope, deliverables, milestones, and new product rollouts. Track and report on project performance, providing clear communication of status, risks, and contingency plans to stakeholders. Support the Sales team with technical insights and materials for customer engagement during product rollout. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to streamline NPI processes and accelerate time-to-market. Contribute to strategic planning for future product lines and scalability opportunities. Contribute to financial planning regarding NPI opportunities and budgeting/forecasting of NPI-related revenue and cost planning. Contribute to engineering cost capture and NPI cost estimation on large projects in the quotation phase.

This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders. Education Bachelors degree required, degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline preferred. Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, cost analysis, accounting, or related skills. Industry experience in engineering, manufacturing, or materials science; experience within the thermal spray sector is beneficial but not required. Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-departmental initiatives, ideally related to New Product Introduction (NPI) or product development. Experience in developing and implementing cross-functional process improvements, developing standard workflows, and the ability to document complex workflows involving multiple teams and stakeholders are beneficial. Ability to interpret and analyze complex technical data, engineering drawings, and customer specifications. Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Confident in driving and managing change; capable of influencing teams and individuals to align with project goals. Highly adaptable with a proactive mindset and a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS); familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP is highly desirable. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
Must be able to work in a sitting/standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment. Must be able to travel throughout the region, including overnight travel. Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc. Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc. Ability to hear in person and via phone.
