Since global trade regulations affect the global activities of each operating group, the actions of the individual in this position impact the entire corporation. Affected activities will include import, export and re-export of commodities between foreign company locations, distributors and customers; anti-boycott compliance; sanctions policies; Incoterms 2020; and facilitation of power of attorney and broker/forwarder management. This position will interface with all internal organizations, including, but not limited to: Business Areas, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and R&D. Job Responsibilities

Assist the Customs and Trade Compliance Manager with imports and exports. Assist with Trade Compliance related issues with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other gov’t agencies. Ability to accurately classify products and components using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) to determine correct duties and tariffs as well as Schedule B and ECCN knowledge. Collaborate with various stakeholders (business unit management, department leadership, US Customs & Trade Compliance Manager) on cross-company activities promoting process optimization. Ability to utilize the CBP ACE Portal to monitor import/export entries, payment of monthly duties, post summary corrections, and other compliance-related activities. Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to arrange, track/monitor international freight, ensuring timely clearance and delivery. Facilitate the requirements associated with US Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and other Preferential Trade Programs. Auditing of Import/Export shipments to ensure compliance. Maintaining current processes, procedures and manuals for training/auditing. Working within the organization to facilitate trade compliance. Job Qualifications And Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field and 7+ years of demonstrated growth and experience working in Trade Compliance and International Transportation. Experience working with customs brokers, forwarding agents, and other Partner Government Agencies (PGA’s). Expert knowledge of current import & export regulations to ensure strict adherence to regulations from government agencies, such as CBP and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Understanding US Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and other Preferential Trade Programs. Understanding of restrictions associated with sanctions and embargoes. Meticulous and accurate attention to detail, with a strong ability to manage detailed data entry and documentation. Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities to interpret complex regulations and resolve issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external parties and the ability to analyze data and create reports. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Hands-on experience with ERP, preferably SAP. Strong written and verbal communication / interpersonal skills.
