Overview
MyBambu is a fast-growing fintech platform focused on serving the U.S.–LATAM community with simple, mobile-first financial solutions. We offer digital accounts, debit cards, cash load/withdrawal, domestic and cross-border payments, and financial tools designed for newcomers and underbanked populations. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) who can own the execution of engineering deliverables, manage Jira workspaces with rigor, and align product, engineering, and leadership to realistic roadmaps and deadlines.
Duties/Responsibilities
Jira Management & Agile Execution: own Jira configuration (spaces, workflows, dashboards, reporting), enforce sprint discipline (backlog grooming, story pointing, sprint planning, retrospectives), track velocity, identify bottlenecks, and escalate blockers proactively.
Ensure transparency and accountability across onsite and remote teams.
Project Leadership: drive execution of multiple concurrent projects (mobile, middleware, payments, integrations); translate business priorities into technical milestones and track delivery.
Maintain documentation (Confluence, TDDs, workflows) and ensure updates are accurate; partner with engineering leads to forecast resource needs and mitigate delivery risks.
Stakeholder Communication: report progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership; align with product managers, architects, and QA leads to ensure feature readiness; call out scope creep, vague requirements, or unrealistic commitments early.
Technical Contribution: understand APIs, integrations, and technical dependencies to support decision-making; provide input on test plans, dev environments, and deployment readiness; ensure tasks are properly estimated and tracked.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
3+ years of experience in project management or technical program management in fintech, payments, or SaaS.
Strong expertise in Jira administration and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Hands-on technical background (software development, QA, or systems integration experience preferred).
Ability to manage cross-functional teams onsite and across time zones.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills; comfortable holding teams accountable.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
3+ years of experience in project management or technical program management in fintech, payments, or SaaS.
Experience with Confluence, GitHub/Bitbucket, AWS, and API-driven products is a plus.
PMP, CSM, or SAFe certifications are a bonus but not required.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
