Risk & Assurance Manager

– Nottinghamshire (Hybrid) – Permanent – to £41,525 (DOE) Risk & Assurance Manager needed with in-depth experience in risk management, assurance and governance within complex project environments. Responsibilities & Experience

Key Objective: supporting Risk Management and Assurance best practice, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across complex programmes. Proven experience in Risk Management, assurance and governance in complex project environments, including risk assurance reviews, audits, reporting, and best practice. Key Tasks: identifying, assessing and mitigating project/programme risks, and providing assurance to ensure compliance with governance frameworks and best practice standards. Identifying, assessing, documenting + reporting risks, conducting risk workshops, implementing risk mitigation strategies, risk audits + implementing risk controls. Tracking and monitoring risks using RAID + producing risk management reports for the Governance Board to help reduce project uncertainties. Risk Assurance & Governance: risk assurance reviews to ensure adherence to best practice + governance frameworks, project assurance meetings, stage gate reviews + improving risk assurance standards, tools and methods. Change Management: supporting change management processes, implementing scope change protocols, ensuring robust Configuration Management + standardizing project documentation. Stakeholder Engagement: engaging with Programme Board on risk management issues, and providing guidance on risk management tools, best practice, assurance + governance. Risk Management qualification -eg- MoR, APM, MSP, Prince2. Government/Public Sector sector experience but not essential.
