Overview
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing medicines by silencing disease-causing genes using RNA interference (RNAi). The Manager, Commercial Analytics will play a pivotal role in the commercial launch of Arrowhead's investigational cardiometabolic medicine – Plozasiran (siRNA targeting APOC3). This product has demonstrated compelling clinical data to date and is in late-stage development for the treatment of various conditions, including Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) and Severe Hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG). Over time, the role may expand to cover additional indications and products in the Arrowhead portfolio.
In this position, you will play a key role in launch preparedness and post-launch performance diagnosis. You will have the opportunity to conduct impactful analyses and forecasting to support the commercial success of our cardiometabolic franchise. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Global Customer Insights & Analytics, you will leverage market knowledge and your modeling expertise to generate in-depth, customer-focused analytical insights to ensure a successful product launch.
This role is based in Pasadena, California, with an expectation to be in office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
Data Analytics
Conduct data analysis to support key commercial strategic imperatives and derive customer insights for the product launch.
Present comprehensive insights and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders including leadership, fostering informed decision-making at all levels.
Challenge conventional norms with data-driven insights, fostering a culture of learning and advancement within Arrowhead.
Commercial Infrastructure and Data
Refine and enhance business visualization dashboards based on evolving business needs to provide intuitive insights into key metrics and trends.
Help establish processes for socializing insights to relevant stakeholders across the organization.
Forecasting
With mentoring and guidance, update product forecasts based on new market data and internal insights (e.g., market research).
Collaborate with finance in revenue planning processes.
Sales Operations
Support the implementation and management of sales compensation plans and incentive programs. Adjust as necessary to ensure optimal performance. Help automate the incentive programs.
Facilitate sales target creation in alignment with forecasts and business strategy. Manage field alignment, workload calculation, and territory mapping as needed to ensure optimal performance and field resource allocation.
Define, develop, and regularly communicate sales KPIs and metrics to various stakeholders. Collaborate with sales leadership in defining and measuring the KPIs. Optimize data sources to measure KPIs and effectively plan across field teams.
Primary Market Research
Work with business teams to understand key business questions and KPIs to be assessed, predominantly through quantitative surveys trended over time.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a business-related or life sciences field. Strong understanding of the life sciences industry.
5 years of progressive commercial experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
3 years of experience in business analytics, forecasting, sales operations and/or market research.
Experience maintaining sophisticated market assessments and forecast models.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven communication and vendor management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed, team-based environment, with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
You may be required to travel for up to 10% of your time.
Preferred
Consulting experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
Sales operations knowledge/expertise.
California pay range $140,000—$155,000 USD
