Summary:
To perform laboratory analysis and administrative tasks associated with clinical assessment of patients. Perform highly complex testing and coordinate teaching of Clinical Laboratory Science and medical students, residents, fellows, and other members of the hospital. Execute tasks required to maintain accreditation with JCAHO, CAP, DCRA, AABB, and FDA. Qualifications
Education/Qualifications: MT (ASCP) or able to obtain plus 5 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science plus 7 years of related experience. As required by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), an employee with access to a blood irradiator in the Transfusion Service section must be subjected to fingerprinting and a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identification and criminal history records check.
