Mars United Commerce is seeking a Senior Manager, Retail Search. This role is hybrid/remote from one of our hub locations. Amazon Ads experience is required. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Dallas, Bentonville, AR, or New York.

Primary Responsibilities
Own and develop retail search activation strategy and oversee the Search Manager to build and execute best-in-class retail media campaigns across search.
Direct and train Managers and Specialists on setup, management, optimization, and reporting of retail search.
Lead strategy on keyword, ad group, audience, and targeting; refine activation plan based on client objectives and vendor/platform capabilities.
Collaborate with the Director to improve daily/weekly optimizations and performance across platforms and clients.
Create and share presentations recommending campaign strategy; collaborate with senior leaders to convey final plan to search teams and clients.
Support developing holistic retail strategy, client media mix, and budget allocations while guiding the team in executing tactics.
Maintain oversight as the leader of campaign setup, performance, optimization, and reporting.
Set and communicate performance expectations with Search Managers, Search Specialists, and key internal partners.
Lead, mentor, and scale the team in workflow, training, development, and adherence to best practices.
Provide high-quality insights and strategic recommendations based on client objectives, media strategy, and results.
Reports to Director, Retail Search; direct reports include Search Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
5+ years of experience in the retail search space.
Confident presenter and clear communicator (verbal and written) of complex information.
Owner/leader mentality; willingness to roll up your sleeves.
Exceptional Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Google Suite experience (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
Hands-on keyboard media buying experience with keyword, ad group, audience, and targeting strategies; real-time bidding; proactive optimization; results-based reporting.
Retail media buying on Amazon, Walmart, Criteo, Citrus Ads, Kroger/Promote IQ, Instacart (required).
Google SEM or similar experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize to meet timelines and budgets.
Ambitious self-starter with ownership of work and passion for all elements of retail/omnichannel media.
Creative and strategic thinker, curious, and always looking to improve and grow.
Collaborative team player with strong listening skills; able to challenge peers/clients when needed to achieve best results.
Experience managing and mentoring direct reports to take on more strategic work.
Excellent soft skills with client storytelling and presenting strategically oriented decks focused on business strategy and client motivations.
Independent work style with consistently polished client deliverables and professional presence.
Ability to respond to and mitigate client objections to strategic and tactical recommendations.
