Bilingual Procurement Director - Americas

The person selected for this role will be an integral member of the Global Procurement Management Team and will report directly to the Chief Procurement Officer. This role will be responsible for developing and executing the regional procurement strategy in alignment with global business objectives, frameworks, and category strategies, while serving as the primary procurement representative within regional management teams and partnering closely with global category teams across both direct and indirect spend areas.
Responsibilities
Lead Procurement across North and South America, representing Global Procurement locally
Steer regional activities aligned with global targets, driving cross-functional collaboration
Own supplier relationships to ensure capability, compliance, and innovation
Manage total spend and supplier conditions (price, TCO, terms, quality, sustainability)
Ensure continuous improvement and adherence to Procurement standards and processes
Drive excellence and optimize regional teams through key initiatives
Set and monitor top-down targets, initiate corrective actions as needed
Engage senior stakeholders to embed Procurement priorities in regional decisions
Build and lead a high-performing team with consistent delivery
Other duties as assigned
Key Elements For Your Role
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Significant relevant procurement leadership experience may be considered
Leadership experience in Procurement
Fluent in business English and Spanish
Portuguese is a plus
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills (in English & Spanish)
Proactive and results-driven leader with a strong track record of driving cost-reduction initiatives and maintaining high engagement
Skilled at managing multiple priorities and driving progress
Able to push stakeholders constructively and with impact
Strong economic and financial understanding of market dynamics, paired with excellent global communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, foster relationships, and network effectively across cultures and functions
Able to travel domestically and internationally – approximately 25%
Must have valid license and passport
