Overview
The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, Water Design-Build Senior Project Manager. This position will be part of an exciting team employing the latest technologies to solve critical water supply, treatment, and infrastructure projects such as water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems throughout the United States. This is an opportunity to work on some of our nation’s most pressing water infrastructure problems and contributing to AECOM’s success as an industry leader in engineering and construction. Frequent short-term travel up to 50% of the time may be required depending on project workload. Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will direct the performance of ongoing Design-Build water and wastewater projects and lead the development and capture of upcoming design-build pursuits. Responsibilities include managing activities of a multi-discipline design through AECOM’s design centers, and overall project management for procurement of process equipment and subcontractors, scheduling, value engineering or constructability reviews, familiarity with job cost reporting, and budget control activities through the life of the project, including EAC analysis during on-site construction as prime contracting entity. Demonstration of strong commercial and construction contract experience is required. Project managers with design-build experience, especially in water/wastewater or industrial (process) construction fields, will be considered preferred. Key capabilities include performing in conceptual and detailed engineering and construction project management capacities, overseeing engineering and construction teams, and coordination across design centers and subcontractors. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, Chemical Engineering or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Valid Driver's license that allows you to drive during the course of your employment; subject to motor vehicle records review Preferred Qualifications:
20+ years’ experience delivering engineering and construction projects in the water/wastewater industry using progressive design-build, lump sum design-build, or CMAR Good understanding of project delivery and ability to facilitate technical discussions Proven project management experience with ability to manage a diverse team Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk Strong commercial and construction contract experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Travel to other offices/sites will be required Experience managing D/B projects that are $30 Million or more DBIA certificate preferred but not required California P.E. license preferred Experience working with local and state regulatory agencies Experience managing both engineering and construction subcontractors Proven ability to conduct competitive assessments and price-to-win analysis Base pay
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $225,000.00. About AECOM
