The Quality Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring that purchased materials, components, and supplier-manufactured parts consistently meet the organization’s standards for quality, reliability, and manufacturability. This role focuses on strengthening supplier quality systems, enhancing internal processes, and supporting product validation throughout the supply chain. The position requires close collaboration with internal engineering, operations, and procurement teams, as well as with external suppliers, to align with technical specifications, regulatory expectations, and globally recognized quality frameworks such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Responsibilities
Drive process optimization initiatives to ensure manufacturing workflows are efficient, repeatable, and capable of producing high-quality results. Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring quality issues and prevent nonconformities. Oversee the development, maintenance, and implementation of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other quality planning documentation to mitigate risks and ensure process reliability. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, supplier performance, and process capability; analyze trends and implement data-driven improvements. Support prototype builds, pilot runs, and product validation activities, ensuring products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements before full-scale production. Maintain strict adherence to regulatory and industry quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and company-specific quality policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, procurement, and manufacturing—to align quality objectives and resolve technical or supplier-related challenges. Manage and facilitate supplier PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities, including documentation review, part qualification, and approval of supplier-provided components for production release. Participate in supplier development and audits, ensuring vendors maintain robust quality systems and deliver consistent performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality engineering, or process engineering roles. Certification or demonstrated expertise in Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred). Strong proficiency in root cause analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, and corrective action management. Skilled in using standard business and quality management software (Excel, PowerPoint, ERP/MRP systems, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities, with experience influencing cross-functional teams and external partners. Willingness to travel up to 20% for supplier visits, audits, and support of manufacturing sites. Employment type
