Responsibilities
Support the evaluation of new business opportunities in coordination with Sales, Program Management, and other stakeholders, and provide contractual guidance on the opportunities. With Legal, support proposal responses and lead contract negotiations, including: distributing contract requirements and terms & conditions to appropriate stakeholders; communicating requests and actions clearly; preparing redlines reflecting SDI positions; and negotiating terms and conditions. Provide guidance to the business on contracting processes and contract interpretation. Support and drive efficient contract negotiation and execution with customers and subcontractors. Oversee contract approval sign-off from appropriate stakeholders and maintain version control of contract documents. Serve as the point of contact between SDI and customers, subcontractors and vendors on contract-related matters. Administer U.S. Federal government contracts and some state & local government contracts, supporting Program Management and Sales as needed. Maintain complete contract records and develop/maintain contract management processes and procedures. Monitor the contract life cycle, including renewals, extensions, and close-outs. Identify and analyze risk with Legal and other stakeholders, escalating as appropriate. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on contract compliance monitoring and audits.
Qualifications
Education/Training/Experience : Masters Degree 10+ years of experience as a Contract Manager with a government contractor Critical/Required Skills: Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: Understanding of FAR/DFARS and government-unique requirements. Proven judgment, discretion and reasoning, especially balancing business needs with legal and ethical/compliance obligations, and escalation management. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail, timeliness and organization. Problem-solving, program management, and ability to drive contract negotiations to resolution while protecting SDI. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities. Ability to work effectively, independently and with teams. Commitment to continuous improvement for yourself and the organization. Microsoft Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Desires: Experience working for a manufacturer Familiarity with the General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule vehicle Experience with customers such as Department of Homeland Security and/or Department of Defense Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; familiarity with Six Sigma
Salary and Benefits
Salary range:
$67,239 - $151,287 plus eligibility for bonus Background:
This position may require Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and vetting via the TSA. If required, applicant must successfully pass a federal background investigation. This position may require a U.S. Personal Security Clearance. SDI is a Federal Contractor and a drug-free workplace. The compensation for this position ranges from $67,239.00 - $151,287.00 per year and will vary based on location, skills, knowledge, and experience.
