About The Job A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Global Capacity and Operations (GCL) provide forecasts for our global Operations and Finance partners. We serve as stewards of the company's global warehouse and data center (DC) material inventory. Our command center and order management teams work to ensure that order escalations and every day business needs are captured, monitored and resolved. You will be responsible for accurate management of inventory levels across North and South American DCs. You will maintain DC operations by optimizing stock levels of critical components, preventing stock outs and overstocks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet the demands of the DC environment. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Responsibilities Drive inventory strategy to meet customer demand and prevent stock-outs or overstock. Analyze trends to continuously improve processes and reduce carrying costs while ensuring component availability. Partner with internal teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to coordinate inventory replenishment, forecast future demand, and maintain high levels of stock accuracy through regular audits. Understand data center critical components to manage inventory across multiple sites, navigating regional nuances and logistics to ensure operational continuity. Implement and maintain advanced inventory management systems and tools. Generate insightful reports and provide data-driven recommendations to support senior management decision-making. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies efficiently, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our stock across all global locations and partner teams.
