AECOM Job Description AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior UXO Supervisor (SUXOS) for employment in Kuwait City. Qualified candidates must be available to start onboarding for this assignment on November 3, 2025. Deployment to Kuwait will happen shortly after that. This will require completion of pre-hire support activities (drug screen, background check, etc) by mid-October 2025. In accordance with the Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper 18 (DDESB TP-18), a SUXOS must: Meet the criteria for, and have performed the functions of, a UXO-TIII, UXOQCS, and UXOSO. Ensure compliance with a DoD Military Service- and/or DDESB-approved site plans. Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site munitions response activities. Complete a daily site report. Review and approve UXO team reports. Make the final safety status determination of discovered MEC with the UXOSO. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High school diploma + 4 years of experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Current driver’s license. The position requires using an AECOM provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle for AECOM business. Pass pre-employment drug screen. Valid US Passport through 11/2026. Participate in and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment fitness for duty exam in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120. This position is contingent upon passing a Fit for Duty exam by receiving a medically “qualified” fit for duty result letter indicating the employee is medically “qualified” to conduct work activities at the jobsite. 40-hour HAZWOPER. 8-hour OSHA Supervisor (initial). Must have a 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety course. Current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher. Do to the nature of this project, US Citizenship is required. Additional Qualifications under DDESB TP-18 Graduate of a military EOD assistant course; or an accredited UXO technician training course; or military EOD school of the US, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia. On-the-job training including familiarity with the process, procedures, and equipment (e.g., geophysical) used for MEC-related activities. Military EOD school graduates: 2 years MEC-related experience, 1 year MEC-Supervisory experience, 10 years total EOD and MEC experience. Accredited UXO School graduates: 10 years MEC-related experience, 5 years MEC-Supervisory experience, 13 years total MEC experience. OSHA-compliant (Section 1910.120(e)(4) of Title 29, CFR) 8-hour Management and Supervisor Training Course. Understanding of explosives safety criteria and experience in MEC or related range clearance activities. Completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training and earned a Department of Labor Construction Safety Course Completion Card. Ability to demonstrate QC/QA practices for MEC-related activities and management/processing of MPPEH, including documentation of explosives safety status. Preferred Qualifications Explosive Ordnance Disposal certificate. 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety. Additional Information Relocation assistance is not available for this position; however, travel and per diem will be provided. This position will require a Motor Vehicle Record Screening. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $77 to $77.
