Schwab Asset Management (SAM) is the investment advisor for Schwab Funds; including Schwab ETFs, Index funds, mutual funds, SMA’s, Collective Trusts and Target Date Funds. Overseeing over $1 trillion in assets under management, SAM is comprised of holistic wealth management services, proprietary and 3rd party investment management solutions. SAM has a growing team of dedicated investment professionals. Each member of SAM is committed to serving the needs of client investors. Leveraging not only Schwab products, insights, and research, but Schwab’s educational resources as well. We are looking to add a Director to our talented client facing team. The goal of the SAM sales team is to promote the sale of Schwab proprietary products through the RIA sales channel. Responsibilities
The Director will drive and facilitate RIA sales initiatives through a consultative sales and relationship management approach. The ideal candidate must be able to: Develop a deep understanding of SAM investment solutions and Philosophies Articulate the firm’s value-proposition and specifics of SAM investment strategies to registered investment advisors, retirement planconsultants/advisors,and other financial professionals. Provide consultative suggestions on appropriate product type, asset class, and use of our strategies to advisors using and considering our strategies. Have proactive on-going communication with clients and prospects and maintaining support throughout the relationship cycle. Travel for client meetings, Schwab sponsored events, industry conferences Effectively partner with other internal business groups & partners that support our SAM efforts Qualifications
Required Qualifications Series 7, 63 and 65/66 are required Bachelor’s degree required 7-10 years in financial services / Asset Mgmt. with 3-5 RIA channel sales experience ETF, Mutual Fund and SMA sales experience in RIA channel Existing RIA and Schwab Advisor Services client & prospect relationships Ability to articulate investment product features and benefits andspeakknowledgeably about philosophy, process, portfolio holdings, and the rationale behind portfolio construction. Knowledge of the capital markets, asset allocation concepts,and the asset management industry. Have a Holistic understanding of traditional investment styles and vehicles (i.e., separately managed accounts, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income assets) Excellent communication skills (oral and written) required. Excellent prioritization skills Experience with CRM’s such as Salesforce & Tableau What’s in it for you
