Overview
Vice President of Operations at Constructable is a pivotal leadership role overseeing all aspects of project execution and field operations. The VP of Operations reports to the CEO and focuses on safety, quality, financial performance, and timely project delivery. The role leads the Project Meeting Operating System, drives operational efficiency, and fosters a culture of transparency, accountability, and results across teams. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Align field operations with Constructable’s strategic vision and growth objectives; coordinate and manage the Project Meeting Operating System; develop and execute strategies to optimize project schedules and budgets to ensure profitability and client satisfaction. Financial Oversight : Review project schedules and budgets to ensure alignment with financial objectives; oversee WIP reporting, cost controls, and change orders; drive financial accountability across field teams. Team Leadership & Development : Lead and mentor Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and General Superintendent; oversee training and development for field teams; encourage cross-departmental cooperation between field and office teams. Operational Excellence : Drive operational efficiency by standardizing processes and adhering to the Project Meeting Operating System; implement KPIs to track progress and drive accountability; ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards; identify and mitigate operational risks. Safety & Quality Leadership : Promote a culture of safety and quality; enforce compliance with industry standards and internal policies; monitor safety performance and quality metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. Resource Optimization : Allocate and manage resources effectively; balance workloads and project needs; ensure appropriate staffing levels and personnel development to meet operational demands. Continuous Improvement : Champion process improvement, technology adoption, and innovative practices to enhance field operations; develop and track KPIs to drive accountability and performance. Stakeholder Engagement : Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors; serve as the primary escalation point for critical project challenges; act as the main client contact during project execution to ensure satisfaction. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field (master’s degree preferred). 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction project management and field operations, with a track record in large-scale or complex projects, preferably in design-build or industrial construction. Strong ability to lead, mentor, and drive accountability within high-performing teams. Proven ability to navigate challenges, manage risk, and implement operational solutions in complex and remote projects. Expertise in financial oversight, WIP reporting, and cost control measures to optimize profitability. Exceptional ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure operational success. Compensation And Benefits
